May showed a 28 percent decline, with unit sales of 545 sailboats compared with unit sales of 757 sailboats in May of last year, the report notes. The dollar value of those sales was $38 million this year compared with $67 million last year.
The report also said unit sales and dollar valuations of boats 46 feet and above were off 40 percent or more, while sales of mid-size boats were down roughly a third.
