New yacht software company formed
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A new yacht software company called Yacht Record has been formed in a partnership between entrepreneurs Tom Patterson and Alan Ritchie, the company reported in a release yesterday.
Patterson and Ritchie teamed to develop an onboard and online software management service for yachts also called Yacht Record, which organizes yacht information – manuals, logs, inventory, photos, drawings, schematics, etc. – into a system that can be accessed from anywhere via the Internet.
“All your yacht’s information in one place,” said founder and CEO Patterson. “Safe, secure and accessible, it is as simple as that.”
Patterson and Ritchie have assembled a team with experience in yacht building, software development, healthcare and automotive industries to bring best practices to the yachting industry.
They will introduce Yacht Record to the industry at the American Superyacht Forum in Newport, R.I. on June 24.
