Moffatt & Nichol consolidate with Blaylock Engineering
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Marine design and engineering firm Moffatt & Nichol has consolidated its San Diego-based operations with marine structural engineering firm Blaylock Engineering Group, Moffatt & Nichol said in a release last week.
This combined operation, known as Moffatt & Nichol Blaylock, will enhance Moffatt & Nichol’s capabilities in the areas of marine engineering, as well as facility inspection and rehabilitation, while offering Blaylock a presence in the global marine engineering arena, according to the release.
One of Blaylock’s core strengths is the design and repair of marine structures and developing repair schemes to extend the useful service life of facilities. The expanded services position both firms to better serve their port, military and transportation clients, and boosts Moffatt & Nichol’s worldwide Waterfront Inspection and Rehabilitation practice, the company said.
Moffatt & Nichol’s San Diego business unit leader Perry Schacht, SE, in partnership with Blaylock Principals Matthew Martinez, SE and Thomas Spencer, SE, look forward to continuing to support their existing clients and developing the firms’ inspection and rehabilitation practice, according to the release.
