TowBoatU.S. opens Westport, Mass., location
WESTPORT, Mass. – TowBoatU.S. Westport, Mass., has opened on the Westport River at Tripps Boatyard to provide assistance to recreational boaters, Boat Owners Association of the United States said in a press release yesterday. John Bevis will staff the Westport location. It is Clint Allen’s second on-the-water towing port. He also operates TowBoatU.S. New Bedford, Mass.
TowBoatU.S. Westport is equipped with a 23-foot Proline response vessel, which can be identified by its red hull, white bow stripes and “TowBoatU.S.” lettering along its side. A full complement of towing and salvage equipment is onboard, including extra fuel, engine fluids, pumps and a battery jump pack.
