Keynote speaker named for sailing industry conference

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – Dan Coughlin, best-selling author of “ACCELERATE: 20 Practical Lessons to Boost Business Momentum,” will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural Growth Through Innovation Conference presented by GE Capital Solutions and Sail America on June 11-12 at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, R.I.

In addition to Coughlin, U.S. Olympic Sailing Program Chairman Dean M. Brenner and Wachovia Senior Economic Analyst Mark Vitner will also give presentations at the conference, Sail America reported in a release yesterday.

Coughlin’s keynote speech is entitled “Innovate to Accelerate: Practical Processes to Propel Business Momentum.” He believes business innovation means creating more value for customers that generates sustainable, profitable business growth.
