Hoist Liftruck to appear on “Made in America”

BEDFORD PARK, Ill. – John Ratzenberger’s “Made in America” on the Travel Channel will profile Hoist Liftruck as an American company in its May 14th episode, Hoist Liftruck said in a press release Friday.

The show is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. EST/PST. Filming was completed at Hoist Liftruck in September 2007.

The television show, now in its fifth season, focuses on the blue-collar men and women who create American-made products. The show’s host, John Ratzenberger, travels across the country visiting American companies to learn how each product is made and the history and people that make each company what they are.

“We look forward to viewing the episode airing in May,” said Marty Flaska, Hoist Liftruck president and owner. “We take pride in our 100 percent American-made products, and to have our company’s history, products and employees recognized on national television is a privilege.”

The show will focus on how a Hoist high-capacity forklift is made from design and research to final product, as well as the company’s history that dates back to the late 1800s and its employees.
