Sales for Marine Concepts nearly double at IBEX

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Marine Concepts’ exhibition at the IBEX Show in October resulted in a 97 percent increase in sales over the 2006 show, the company reported in a release today.

Traffic at the company’s booth, which doubled in size this year, included new boatbuilder contacts as well as existing customers dropping in to discuss current and future projects.

Marine Concepts’ live demonstrations of its new Faro Tracker X computer measuring system and on-the-spot Web conferences with project managers at the company’s Cape Coral headquarters were a hit, the company said. Engineering representatives from Marine Concepts scanned a scale model hull plug and explained the benefits of the CMS to Marine Concepts’ current and prospective customers during two exhibitions on Thursday of the show.

“We had many more visitors this year in our booth and they were all ready to talk about starting new product projects,” said Marine Concepts’ General Manager, Matt Chambers. “We will continue to add talented team members to support our loyal customers and handle the new projects as well. We are very encouraged about the future of our industry.”
