Yamaha renews “Spotlight on Savings” promotion
KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group plans to aggressively promote dealer marketing efforts through the launch of the 2007 “Spotlight on Savings” sales event, the company said in a statement yesterday. The consumer promotion offers Yamaha customers an up to $1,500 credit they can use toward the purchase of valuable merchandise and/or services, based on MSRP, when they buy an eligible new outboard from authorized participating Yamaha dealers.
“When we introduced ‘Spotlight on Savings’ last year, it was an instant hit with our dealers and their customers,” said Dale Barnes, Yamaha division manager, marketing.
The promotion applies to eligible new Yamaha outboards purchased between July 3, 2007 and Aug. 15, 2007. Outboards eligible for the promotion include new Yamaha 50 to 250 horsepower four-strokes, giving consumers up to $750 in credit toward purchasing goods or services, and new Yamaha 150 to 300 horsepower V MAX® H.P.D.I.® outboards only, giving consumers up to $1,500 in credit toward purchasing goods or services. V MAX® Series 2 models are not eligible.
“‘Spotlight on Savings’ adds value to outboard purchases by giving customers a nice chunk of credit towards goods and services from their dealer,” Barnes said.
Apart from engine type and horsepower, other factors determine outboard eligibility. To be eligible, outboards must be new (unused and not previously warranty registered) and must also have been manufactured with a model year designation of 2005, or manufactured since April 5, 2005. Any outboard made prior to model year 2005 is not eligible.
