Powerboat market may see 10 percent decline

Industry outlook continues to look less rosy in Info-Link’s latest Bellwether Report, updated through May.

“Spring boat sales this year compared to last are not very encouraging,” said Jesse Wells, Info-Link director of sales & marketing. “The overall 15 foot-plus power market seems to be more or less headed toward a 10 percent decline. Hopefully, we’ll have another relatively storm-free season to keep us at least in the single digits.”

Info-Link’s May Bellwether Report, which is based on registrations of powerboats 15 feet in length and above, is available for viewing at: www.info-link.com/bellwetherreport.asp.
