SOUTHOLD, N.Y. – Sea Tow Services International Inc. has opened three new franchises: Sea Tow Old Hickory Lake (Tenn.), Sea Tow Lake Percy Priest (Tenn.) and Sea Tow Lake Keowee (S.C.), the marine assistance company said in a statement Wednesday.
Two existing Sea Tow locations have been sold and ownership transferred. Sea Tow Tampa Bay (Fla.) is now under the ownership of Captain Skip Shute Jr., who brings with him more than 15 years of on-water expertise, having formerly worked at Sea Tow Northern New Jersey, which his father established 21 years ago. Sea Tow Lake Wylie (N.C.) is now under the ownership of Capt. Howie Kaplan, who also owns nearby Sea Tow Lake Norman.
The new franchise owners were recently awarded certificates for their successful completion of the extensive Sea Tow training program, which includes both on-water and classroom instruction at the company’s corporate headquarters in Southold, N.Y.
Sea Tow Tampa Bay, Sea Tow Old Hickory Lake and Sea Tow Lake Wylie are open and operational. Sea Tow Lake Keowee opens June 14 and Sea Tow Lake Percy Priest is scheduled to open mid-summer.
