AOC to raise prices July 1

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. – AOC, a global supplier of resins, gelcoats and other additives to the marine industry, will increase prices by US $0.07 per pound on all Resin and Gel Coat products sold in North America shipped on or after July 1, 2007, the company said in a release today.

The company cited ongoing high prices of natural gas prices, higher crude oil prices due to lost Nigerian production and OPEC’s refusal to increase quotas to replace that production as reasons for the increase.

“As a result of refinery issues here in the U.S., gasoline prices are at an all time high as we enter into the driving season with low inventories,” the company wrote in its release. “AOC thanks its customers for their continued support and business in these unusual times. AOC continues to invest for the long-term growth and health of the composites industry by providing innovation and capacity to meet growing demand. The company remains committed to offering customers the best overall value in the market place.”
