AMI brings its training to Rhode Island
WARREN, R.I. – The International Marina Institute, an Association of Marina Industries subsidiary, added Newport, R.I., to its list of course locations, the institute said in a press release Friday. From March 26 to 31, IMI will hold its Advanced Marina Manager program in Newport.
“This past year, we awarded the certified marina manager designation to 14 candidates,” said Alex Laidlaw, AMI chairman. “118 people participated in our program overall. We’ve expanded our focus to include the Northwest with our intermediate marina manager course in Olympia, Wash., in late February so it makes sense to add New England to our roster, considering the number of marinas that exist in the Northeast.”
