International Yachtmaster Training changes its name
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – International Yachtmaster Training decided to modify its corporate name to International Yacht Training, the organization said in a statement Friday.
When IYT commenced training almost ten years ago, the only courses the organization taught were “Yachtmaster” courses, hence the name International Yachtmaster Training.
Over the years the company has developed and expanded an entire range of courses, which now include 31 professional deck and engineering courses and 25 recreational courses.
The name International Yachtmaster Training was no longer a true reflection of the company’s services and the company decided to change the name to International Yacht Training in Sept. 2006.
The company’s Web site address, www.yachtmaster.com, will remain the same.
