Yamaha University schedule to be adjusted
KENNESAW, Ga. – Yamaha Marine Group will adjust its schedule for Yamaha University training programs, the company said in a statement yesterday.
“We have had to cancel, reschedule or move some of our Yamaha University training programs due to circumstances beyond our control,” said Martin Peters, Yamaha Marine Group manager dealer education and communication. “We remain committed to the concept of Yamaha University, and our Yamaha Technical Academy training programs and Marine Technical Update Seminars are unaffected by this action.”
Yamaha will cancel the Yamaha Strategic Dealer Management Symposium programs in Las Vegas, Nov. 28 to 30, and in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 13 to 15. All Yamaha University Product and Sales Workshops and Service Management Workshops scheduled for Nov. 14 to 16 are also cancelled. Yamaha will adjust the schedule for workshops that had been planned for dates beyond Nov. 16. Some may continue as planned, though venue changes are likely. Yamaha will contact dealers directly to notify them of the specific status of the workshops for which they were registered.
“Yamaha regrets any hardship this may cause our dealers, and we will soon announce specific details for reimbursing dealers for lost travel expenses and co-op funds,” Peters said. “We will contact every registered dealer directly with the information.”
