Industry to Rock the Dock

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Formula Powerboats has signed on as the first corporate sponsor of “Rock the Dock,” the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s upcoming charity event benefiting wounded armed forces service members, the association reported in a statement today.

Formula Powerboats is contributing $2,500 to the event and donating an additional $250 in Formula Gear merchandise.

“Rock the Dock,” being held on July 26 in Washington, D.C., will benefit Team River Runner, a local charity that provides aquatic-based rehabilitation to wounded service members.

“NMMA members are extremely proud of and grateful to all of the men and women serving in our armed forces at home and around the world,” said Monita Fontaine, NMMA vice president of government relations. “This year we are encouraging our members to help our armed forces who bravely stand on the front lines every day by supporting this exciting, first-ever ‘Rock the Dock’ charity event.”

“Rock the Dock,” in its first year, is part of NMMA’s effort to support community outreach by the boating industry and the industry’s civic contributions. Team River Runner is a 501(c)(3) organization and all contributions are tax deductible.
