Water Channel and iboats.com form partnership

MIAMI – The Water Channel has established an agreement to immediately integrate platforms for e-commerce with iboats.com, the Water Channel reported in a recent statement.

The arrangement will make more than 300,000 water-related products available immediately, via the Internet, to a daily television audience numbering in the millions.

The Water Channel is a new television network devoted to water lifestyle programming. It blends entertainment programming with a home shopping show that features products targeted at its niche audience. Viewers are able to order products over an 800 call-in number, by clicking on specially programmed television remotes or over the Internet.

The Marine Megamall of products sold through iboats.com will become a core element of the Water Channel’s Club Blue segments. In addition, all products sold through iboats.com will be able to participate in dedicated television advertising, sponsorships and advertorials on the Water Channel.

“Growing the customer base in the marine industry, as well as other water-related businesses, has been a daunting challenge for many,” said Arthur Lindgren, Water Channel president. “Now, with the merger of television and the Internet, the two most powerful forces in marketing, we anticipate the bigger challenge for savvy merchandisers may be getting enough product to meet demand. Together, we’re going to help more and more people enjoy the water lifestyle.”

The opportunity for growth and being able to reach a broad, qualified audience is equally appealing to the iboats.com team.

“I am very pleased that we will be working with the Water Channel,” said Bruno Vassel III, iboats.com president and CEO. “I view this as our taking the power and abilities of the Internet to a higher level. Now we can reach even more water enthusiasts on a dedicated lifestyle television network. I also see this as being extremely positive for the marine industry and for further growing multiple activities that are water-related.”
