GBI Outreach Tour scheduled

CHICAGO – In an effort to reach out to marine manufacturers and retailers across the country, a Grow Boating Presentation Tour has been assembled to provide progress updates and introduce new programs and campaign elements to stakeholders.

“There’s a lot of people who have kind of been paying attention, but now are really wanting to learn about how they can take advantage of the whole initiative,” said Steve Tadd, Grow Boating director, in a recent interview.

The presentations will take place at geographically diverse boat shows for stakeholders’ convenience. They include:

  • Portland Dealers Assn. Special Meeting: 12/22 – 8:00 a.m.
  • New York National Boat Show: 1/5 – 11:00 a.m.
  • San Diego Boat Show: 1/6 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Seattle Boat Show (pending NFL Playoffs): 1/10 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Houston Boat Show: 1/11 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Seattle Boat Show: 1/17 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Atlanta Boat Show: 1/13 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Cleveland Boat Show: 1/19 – 2:00 p.m.
  • Northern California Boat Show: 1/31 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Los Angeles Boat Show: 2/1 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Louisville Boat Sport, Boat, RV & Vacation Show: 2/3 – 11:30 a.m.
  • St. Louis Boat and Sports Show: 2/8 – 12:30 p.m.
  • Miami International Boat Show: 2/15 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Detroit Boat Show: 2/21 – 1:00 p.m.
  • Each presentation will take about an hour and will be followed by a question and answer session. Topics in the presentation will include:

    – National Marketing Campaign (Discover Boating)
    – Lead Generation/Dissemination
    – Grow Boating’s Governance
    – Dealer Certification
    – Product Certification
    – Water Access Protection Plan
    – Grow Boating Engine Assessment
