Third-party surveyor reviews highlight new site

Sarasota, FL -Buy Boat Now, Inc., a privately held online boat listing website, announced today the launch of its Web site, www.boat-chek.com. Boat-chek.com is sait to offer a pre-listing review of each boat by a qualified surveyor from the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and/or National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS).

“By using Boat-Chek.com, customers can confidently and effectively complete the first round of ‘tire-kicking’ online,” says Frank DiGiovanni, President of Boat-Chek.com. “We expect Boat-Chek.com to have the same effect on the marine industry as CarFax.com has had on the used car industry. It is the first boat listing website to provide objective third party surveyor reviews for all used boat listings. By working with SAMS and NAMS surveyors, we are able to provide an independent boat review from a qualified marine surveyor for every boat that lists on our site. Therefore, we are able to provide honest and realistic reviews of boat conditions at the time they are listed.”

The site currently features sample reports and demonstration pages for boat and yacht brokers. All boats 32′ and above must be listed with a broker to be featured on Boat-Chek.com. Boat-Chek.com brokers are steadily accumulating listings and expect to have inventory listings posted online beginning in late October. At that time, users will be able to search the site for boats by type, category, manufacturer, length, year, price, and listing number. This, along with the SAMS and NAMS surveyor boat reviews, enables easy comparisons, earlier detection of potential concerns of the vessel, and fewer surprises when actually going to visit the boat.

“Boat-Chek.com promises to reduce the amount of time and money associated with shopping for boats; increase a buyer’s confidence in purchasing a used boat; and increase a buyer’s chance of finding the right boat at the right price,” DiGiovanni said.

Boat-Chek.com will debut at Booth Number 3079 in the Convention Center during the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show. Boat-Chek staff will be available to meet and demonstrate the advantages of their system to brokers, media and those looking to buy or sell a used boat.
