SailTime to sponsor Discover Boating Tour
AUSTIN, Texas – Fractional sailing and power yacht membership provider SailTime, has been named as an official sponsor of the Discover Boating Tour, the company said in a recent release
As the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s-sponsored mobile display travels across the U.S., a SailTime representative will be on hand, along with a Hunter sailboat, to educate the public about sailing opportunities in their city and the benefits of its pioneering fractional sailing program.
“The Discover Boating Tour is really making a positive impact on the growth of boating,” said George Bonelli, SailTime’s co-founder and vice president of operations. “SailTime believes sponsoring these events is a great way to promote sailing and tell people about our program that makes boating easy, economical and fun again.”
SailTime also said that Bonelli has been appointed to the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s newly created Water Access Task Force as part of its Grow Boating initiative.
The Water Access Task Force is a new committee that grew from the original initiatives of the campaign, and joins the five other current Grow Boating task forces.
“I am looking forward to helping address access issues that are affecting all of us in the marine industry,” said Bonelli. “It’s been a challenge for our business in several of our markets to get access for our bases, so I am excited to be a part of this effort to make sure current and future boaters have entry points to quality water recreation.”
Steve Tadd, NMMA’s Grow Boating director, welcomed SailTime to the group saying, “SailTime has a unique niche in the industry. They have a similar interest in growing marina access. And they bring a lot of energy and an understanding of the issues.”
