CHICAGO – Yamaha Motor Corp., USA has signed on to sponsor the Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a recent statement.
Yamaha is the engine sponsor for the tour, and the returning sponsor for the Fishing Simulator; an interactive fishing display that gives attendees the opportunity to experience angling. The group will display a different boat sporting a Yamaha engine at each tour stop, reserving a spot in the mobile marketing display’s Mini Boat Show.
The Yamaha Watercraft division has signed up for two slots in the Mini Boat Show, and is providing its VX110 WaveRunner and SX230 jetboat to display to visitors of the tour. Yamaha will also give away a VX110 at the conclusion of the Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour to a prospective boater who completes an entry from at one of the 16 tour stops.
“Yamaha Watercraft decided to get on board and partner with the Discover Boating Tour to target future customers by breaking into new markets. We feel that the tour paints the picture of family fun on the water by creating excitement about our product; the Yamaha VX110 WaveRunner series and the Yamaha 230 Boat series,” said Yamaha Watercraft Event Marketing Specialist Jennifer Sharp.
The Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour is produced by NMMA and is made possible through its sponsors, including the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, Hunter Marine, Yamaha Outboards, Yamaha Watercraft, Tracker Marine, Brunswick Boat Group through Bayliner, Walker Bay, INDMAR, boats.com and BoatTraderOnline.com, and Sail, Trailer Boats, and Boating magazines.
