Southco Marine adds i2Systems as principal partner
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Southco Marine, a boat-building products integrator, added Integrated Illumination Systems Inc. (i2Systems), a solid-state lighting OEM and systems developer, as a principal partner, according to a statement from the company today.
Located in Morris, Conn., i2Systems uses high-brightness LED to create fixtures and illumination systems for a number of applications in the marine market. LED-based fixtures offer cool-to-the-touch operation and reduced power consumption while providing equivalent or greater light output. Using its SmartDriver technology, i2Systems’s LED-based fixtures operate over a wide range of input voltages, offer zero to 100 percent dimming capability and are compatible with most popular dimming controls and systems.
With a rated lifespan of up to ten years of continuous service, frequent maintenance and unexpected bulb burnouts are eliminated. The fixtures are completely sealed against salt, water and other environmental elements, and their design resists shock and vibration.
