Iridium signs letter of intent with Radio Holland

BETHESDA, Md.; ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands – Radio Holland Group has signed a letter of intent to come to an agreement to provide installation and support services for Iridium marine satellite communication systems, Iridium said in a release on Friday.

Under the agreement, Radio Holland will become the Preferred Iridium Maritime Equipment Service Center. As such, Radio Holland will offer its installation, maintenance and repair capabilities to Iridium service providers, value-added resellers and value-added manufacturers, along with its dealers, agents and end users.

Radio Holland will install Iridium marine terminals, provide onboard inspection and troubleshooting of Iridium equipment, and provide project management and logistical services to support major fleet customers.

“With such a rapidly growing number of Iridium terminals out at sea, we needed the strongest partner to interface with our growing worldwide customer base,” said Don Thoma, executive vice president for Iridium Satellite. “This agreement adds to our strength in the maritime industry, which remains one of our most important vertical markets.”
