Discover Boating Canada begins new PR campaign

OAKVILLE, Ontario – Canada’s Discover Boating program has begun promoting itself through a wide-ranging public relations and sponsorship-marketing program for 2005, the organization reported in a press release yesterday.

Discover Boating will host a variety of events throughout Canada to give consumers a first-hand opportunity to take in the boating experience. Assisting with this year’s program are Hamilton-based Footprint Partners and Toronto-based Brandworks International Inc.

Footprint Partners is implementing a series of one-on-one media activities across Canada, targeting both print and television media.

Brandworks has been engaged to prepare and execute a sponsorship-marketing program on behalf of Discover Boating. Though as yet unidentified, Brandworks will be seeking specific sponsorship opportunities outside the recreational marine industry to generate new funding sources.
