Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
WILMETTE, Ill. - Active and associate membership in Boating Writers International has grown to 430 writers, with more than 60 new members in the past year, BWI said in a release yesterday.
The gain is partly attributed to BWI's widely promoted annual writing contest that presented awards to 42 winners at the recent Miami International Boat Show. In a recent survey, writers also said BWI provided networking opportunities, kept them informed, and served as their professional association.
Supporting membership in BWI has risen as well in the past several months. Eleven new marine product manufacturers and service providers have increased these ranks to close to 90 firms. The newest Supporters are (in alphabetical order):
