Dometic reorganizes management

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Frank Marciano, president of Dometic Corp.’s Environmental Systems group, which makes marine air conditioners and refrigerators, said in a release today that the company has reorganized its management team.

Lou Siegel has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president for marketing and strategic business development, where his primary focus will be on developing new product growth opportunities and opening new markets.

Charlie Barefoot has been named vice president for engineering, with responsibility for all aspects of R&D, applications engineering and customer service.

Mark Shipp is joining Dometic in the new position of vice president for manufacturing. He is a veteran in HVAC manufacturing with a track record of over 20 years managing factories for Carrier.

Mike Phillip has been named vice president of administration.

Ned Trigg has been promoted to senior director of OEM and international sales. He will have responsibility for sales of all Dometic marine products in the international market, and for OEM sales of Dometic Environmental Systems products in the U. S.

Dianne Keller has been named director of sales administration and U.S. aftermarket sales.

“We are positioning our company for continuing growth, and these appointments reflect our ongoing commitment to improved customer service and support,” said Marciano.

Dometic donates to GBI

Dometic also reported, in a separate release, that it had contributed $25,000 to the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s Grow Boating fund.

The contribution was made jointly by Dometic’s Environmental Systems and Sanitation Systems business units.

“We believe that the boating industry strongly needs a concerted effort to bring new people into the market and introduce them to the boating lifestyle,” said John Waters, president of Dometic Corp.’s North American operations. “We were among the first supporters of a similar campaign for the RV industry in the 1990s, and we have seen first-hand how an integrated marketing campaign can provide tangible benefits for the industry.”
