Dometic donates $25,000 to Grow Boating Fund
CHICAGO – The newest contributor to the Grow Boating campaign is Dometic Corp., which has contributed $25,000 to the Start Up Fund, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a recent statement.
“We are certainly enthusiastic about NMMA’s efforts and we are proud to contribute. We firmly believe the Grow Boating campaign will help everyone in the industry; not only boatbuilders but accessory manufacturers as well,” said Frank Marciano, president of Dometic.
Since NMMA president Thom Dammrich issued a call for contributions in early December 2004, more than 600 companies have contributed to the Grow Boating Initiative, raising nearly $2 million for the Grow Boating Start Up Fund, which is being used to pay for the creative development and production of the marketing campaign that was rolled out at this week’s Miami International Boat Show.
“I am tremendously grateful for the great response we received to our request for contributions for the Grow Boating Start Up Fund,” said NMMA president Thom Dammrich. ”Industry support for the Grow Boating Initiative is broad and deep as all industry segments continue to contribute significantly to the launch of this effort. We have a real opportunity to change the boating industry for the better with this broad support.”
