MMTA donates to Tsunami relief, Grow Boating

MILTON, Mass. – The officers and board of directors of the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association recently voted to make two donations on behalf of its membership, one for Tsunami relief and the other to the Grow Boating Initiative, MMTA said in a release Friday.

The first donation was sent to the American Red Cross Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund in the name of MMTA to aid emergency assistance efforts in Southeast Asia.

The donation to the Grow Boating Initiative was made in care of the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association, which is overseeing the program.

“As an NMMA member, we strongly support the mission of the Grow Boating Initiative and the efforts it represents to create and implement campaigns that will serve the expansion of the marine industry and, ultimately, introduce more families to the joys of recreational boating,” MMTA President Greg Glavin said.
