CLEARWATER, Fla. – B&G, a subsidiary of marine electronics manufacturer Simrad, has restructured its sales team to better serve its national dealer network and prepare for anticipated future sales growth, the company reported recently in a release.
The first of these moves was the promotion of B&G veteran Bob Congdon to the position of national sales manager, performance products. In his new role, Congdon will be responsible for high-end product sales nationwide, as well as dealer support on the East Coast and in the Midwest.
“Bob will continue his aggressive regatta support schedule and will work closely with dealers and customers to provide the high level of sales and technical support the industry expects from us,” said B&G USA director Rob Law.
Law also announced the appointment of Steve Burdett of Coast Marine Marketing, LLC as B&G USA’s West Coast sales representative. Based in Dana Point, Calif., Burdett has been a manufacturer’s representative in the marine industry for more than 25 years.
“Steve’s experience in the marketing and technical sales of marine electronics and knowledge of retail, wholesale and OEM sales channels will be a valuable asset,” said Law. “His representation of major lines including KVH, Nauticomp, Palladium Technologies, Koden and Si-Tex creates a natural synergy that will benefit the B&G product line.”
