Sea Ray honors top dealers
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Sea Ray Boats concluded its 2004 dealer meeting, held Nov. 18-22 at the Phoenician Resort in Phoenix, Ariz., by honoring its top dealers with the C.N. Ray award, the company said in a release today.
The dealer meeting, Sea Ray’s largest and most extensive ever, was attended by over 200 U.S. and international Sea Ray dealers who were honored in the areas of sales, customer satisfaction and lifetime achievement.
The award winners were for:
Sales Performance International:
“Sea Ray has enjoyed a heritage beginning with C.N. Ray’s passion and vision of what a boat company could be, and continues now through the passion and vision of Sea Ray’s management team and the strongest dealer network in the marine industry,” Mike Burke, Sea Ray’s vice president of sales and master of ceremonies at the meeting said.
The theme of the dealer meeting was “Sea Ray, A Tradition of Forward Thinking,” and featured a reaffirmation of Sea Ray’s 45-year heritage as well as outlining strategies for its sustained future growth and profitability.
Lifetime achievement award
In addition to those yearly awards, Sea Ray presented its Lifetime Achievement award to Rod Hall, retiring president and founder of the Hall Marine Group. Hall Marine Group consists of Lake Wiley Marina, Lake Wiley, S.C.; Sea Ray of Lake Norman, Cornelius N.C.; Sea Ray of Greenville, Greenville, S.C.; Sea Ray of Charleston, Charleston, S.C.; Sea Ray of Columbia, Columbia, S.C.; and Sea Ray of Savannah, Savannah, Ga.
“For over 28 years, Rod Hall and his family have built the Hall Marine Group into one of the largest regional dealers in the Southeast,” said Rob Parmentier, Sea Ray senior vice president, in presenting Hall with the award. “Rod Hall has the same qualities of passion, vision and commitment upon which C.N. Ray founded Sea Ray, and Rod richly deserves this recognition for bringing great boats and great boating experiences to the Carolina boating community.”
The awards banquet concluded with Sea Ray president, Cynthia Trudell, honoring two dealers who have achieved Ambassador Dealer status, the highest level of operational excellence given to Sea Ray dealers recognized in the Master Dealer program.
The awards were presented to Prince William Marine of Ocquawan, Va., and Marina Fortin of Montreal, Canada.
“These two dealers represent Sea Ray at its very best,” Trudell said. “They are forward thinkers, and are in business to win.”
