Century and Cobia introduce new warranty

PANAMA CITY, Fla., – Century and Cobia Boats have enhanced their warranties for 2005, introducing a new “10-3-1 Warranty” that is 100-percent transferable and will be offered on all new 2005 model year Century and Cobia Boats, the boat builders said in a release today.

The major components of the warranty include 10 years of protection on the hull and deck structure. This also covers the liners, stringers, transom and all deck and hull joints. This year, C&C adds an additional three years of protection on select steering, electrical and fuel delivery components, plus controls, upholstery, canvas and accessories.

All 2005 models will also have one year of coverage for the gelcoat finish that covers crazing, stress cracks and air voids. All major electrical components such as generators, refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, macerator, livewells and pumps will also be covered for one year. The new warranty will also cover hoist and lift-out fees and transportation back to the factory for repair.

“Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible boating experience and we believe our enhanced warranty will make owning and operating a Century or Cobia boat even more enjoyable and worry-free,” said Dean Burnett, vice president and general manager at C&C Manufacturing.
