Access Technologies files suit against CPS Distributors, Inc.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Access Technologies filed a complaint for damages in the United States District Court – Central District of California earlier this year against a former distributor, CPS Distributors, Inc., Access reported in a press release.

The complaint alleges that CPS Distributors manufactured and distributed an illegal copy of the nonfunctional features of Access Technologies Marine Remote Commander models MRC-2 and RC-1B, and says the copycat remotes are likely to cause confusion among the public.

“Access Technologies is seeking injunctive relief to prevent the sales of a product that is likely to cause public confusion and is confident of receiving full redress under Federal law,” the company wrote in its press release.
