Action Craft and Mercury Marine donate to CF

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Action Craft and Mercury Marine will donate a boat and outboard engine to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, continuing their support of the Mercury Redbone Celebrity Tournament Series, according to a press release from Action Craft.

Raffle tickets for the Action Craft 1720 FlyFisher Hybrid Series, built with Kevlar and Carbon Fiber, and Mercury’s Optimax 115-HP engine, are being sold to raise funds for research to find a cure for the disease.

Redbone named the boat “To Catch the Cure”, which is the Redbone tournament slogan. Retail value of the boat and outboard engine is $34,266.

Action Craft has backed the Redbone tournaments and their support of cystic fibrosis research since 1995, donating 19 boats with a total retail value of $323,824. Mercury Marine is the title sponsor of the Redbone series and has donated outboard engines for all of the boats donated by Action Craft.

All proceeds will be presented to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at the raffle drawing on May 21, 2005 in Islamorada, Fla. Raffle tickets may be purchased from Redbone at (305) 664-2002, or online at www.Redbone.org.
