2005 ISS to be held in conjunction with METS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Organizers hailed the 2004 International Sailing Summit – held Oct. 5-6 in Annapolis, Md. – as “a resounding success,” in a press release this morning.
The ISS drew 130 high-profile delegates from eight countries together for a global exchange of ideas designed to promote the growth of sailing.
ISS Chairman Alistair Murray called this year’s gathering a “unique think tank fueled by the passionate ideas and perspectives of sailing leaders and enthusiasts from around the globe who shared their thoughts and experiences for attracting more people to the sport, lifestyle and joy of sailing.”
Leaders of the International Sailing Summit set Nov. 14, 2005 as the date for the Seventh Annual International Sailing Summit, which is to be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The show will be held in conjunction with the International Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) Amsterdam from Nov. 15-17 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Center.
“We’re look forward to continuing in Amsterdam next year this truly global dialogue and exchange of ideas with the international community,” said Scot West, Sail America executive director. “Sail America was very pleased to serve as this year’s host of this important global initiative for sailing.”
