MarineMax ferries stars to MTV Awards
MIAMI – MarineMax provided yachts, a full crew and staff to several celebrities who attended the recent MTV Video Music Awards show in Miami, and one of the vessels was featured on the network’s program “Cribs,” according to a recent MarineMax press release.
Recording artists Usher, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Jennifer Lopez were among the celebrities who arrived at American Airlines Arena on yachts supplied by MarineMax.
Usher, who would be the night’s most decorated performer, was ferried to the show on a Pershing 88, Lopez on a 50-foot Ferretti and Combs on a 94-foot Custom Line with actor Bruce Willis and model Naomi Campbell.
“It was a great evening of grand entrances for the celebrities, MarineMax and for the luxury vessels we represent,” said Shannon McCoy, MarineMax Yachts and Brokerage. “The celebrities were great to work with, and they very much enjoyed their glamorous arrivals to what is one of their most important events of the year.”
After his arrival, MTV aired the segment on the Pershing that carried Usher, with the performer himself giving a guided tour of the boat he called his own for the night.
