Maptech and Marinalife partner for travel service
AMESBURY, Mass. and BALTIMORE – Marine navigation supplier Maptech and marine reservation software supplier Marinalife have teamed to develop a new on-the-water travel concierge service for Maptech’s i3 customers, the companies recently said in a joint release.
“With the introduction of i3, many boating manufacturers and dealers are adding the i3 to their boats at the manufacturing level as well as in the electronics aftermarket,” said Gavin Johnston, vice president of Marketing and Sales. “Developing a new, personal travel cruising concierge service is a natural extension. The “Maptech i3 Club” will save boater’s time and eliminate the frustration in making marina reservations, lodging, restaurants reservations and a lot more.”
The price of the service and the launch date has not been set, but it is expected to be in operation for the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October.
Some of the features planned for the new service include:
– Personal Cruise Planning
– Toll free and Online Marina Reservations
– Reservations via phone, email, or fax
– Discounts at selected marinas for gas, dockage and other services.
