Sea Tow teams in place to help hurricane recovery

SOUTHOLD N.Y. – Catastrophic Assistance Teams from marine assistance organization Sea Tow Services International, Inc. are in place and already assisting a number of boat and marina owners, as well as marine insurance providers, with clean up efforts from Hurricane Frances, the company said in a release today.

“As the vast majority of area residents return to their homes, we are seeing an increased call volume from boaters in need of assistance with their boats,” said Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer, chairman/CEO of Sea Tow Services International, Inc. “We implore everyone in need of marine assistance to use a reputable company with a local business license and an established presence to tow, recover or salvage their boat.

“We just recently saw, with Hurricane Charley, price gouging from a number of opportunists who flocked to Southwest Florida to capitalize on the salvage jobs Charley left behind. Finally, if you do need to contract someone to salvage your boat, check their credentials. Make sure they’re licensed and insured towing and salvage experts.”

Sea Tow’s teams are in place throughout the Southeast and are comprised of USCG licensed and insured professionals who are experienced in all phases of towing and salvage, and are available at negotiated fixed rates.
