Southwest Florida Yachts to reopen

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. – Southwest Florida Yachts will reopen for charters starting Sept.1, the company said in a release today.

The company said its sailing fleet at Burnt Store Marina near Punta Gorda survived Hurricane Charley, with all the vessels staying afloat and remaining in their slips.

Only three required the attention of a boat yard, and just one of the vessels in the company’s trawler fleet, located in N. Fort Myers, required boat-yard attention, Southwest said.
