AOC to increase prices by $0.04 per pound

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. – AOC, a global supplier of resins, gelcoats and other additives to the marine industry, will increase prices by U.S. $0.04 per pound on all products sold in the United States and Canada shipped on or after June 1, the company said in a release today.

AOC said it was no longer possible to absorb cost increases as the price of raw materials continues to rise.

Those increases have been triggered by higher crude oil prices that influence specialty glycols, organic acids, monomers and anhydrides as well as pigments and micro additives. Natural gas cost increases have also led to rising energy expenses the company said.

“AOC continues to invest for the long-term growth and health of the composites industry by providing innovation and capacity to meet the growing demand,” AOC said in its release. “The company remains committed to offering customers the best overall value in the market place.”
