Sea Tow and Boater’s World to co-host safe boating seminars

BELTSVILLE, Md. & SOUTHOLD, N.Y. – Marine assistance provider Sea Tow and Boater’s World – a marine products retailer – will co-host “An Evening with the Experts” on May 19 at participating Boater’s World stores nationwide, the companies reported this morning in a joint press release.

The event is designed to help educate the public on safe boating practices, particularly with the onset of the 2004 boating season in many areas across the country. It is being held in recognition of National Safe Boating Week, which runs from May 22-28, according to the companies.

Sea Tow professionals will be on-hand to conduct demonstrations on critical on-water issues such as the proper use of a VHF and GPS, how to choose the right PFD, proper docking and anchoring techniques, key boating do’s and don’ts and much more.

Boater’s World will extend discounts on safety equipment and related products to all who come to the event, according to the company.

“We feel events like this one, which promote boating safety, are invaluable,” said Captain Joseph Frohnhoefer III, VP of Operations at Sea Tow. “We’re thrilled to be co-hosting this ‘Evening with the Experts’ with Boater’s World and look forward to bringing similar events to the public in the future.”

“We are proud to co-host this year’s event with Sea Tow and we invite boaters, and their friends and families, to join us to learn more about the tips, tactics and products that can help protect their loved ones while on the water,” said Jay Jolly, VP of Marketing and Purchasing for Boater’s World Marine Centers.”
