Connect-A-Dock goes Hollywood
ADAIR, Iowa – Connect-A-Dock Inc., a plastic marine products sales and marketing organization, has recently been involved with Offshore Grip Marine, providing modular floating docks for feature films and television programming, the company reported in a recent press release.
Offshore Grip Marine uses the Connect-A-Dock 2000 Series float sections to create platforms to float their equipment onto the water to help film scenes for movies including “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Dawn of the Dead.” The docks have also been used for the television programs 24 and JAG, according to the company.
“The easy assembly of the docks made meeting tight shooting deadlines much easier. They just slip together and allow us quick access to a stable platform for our camera and lighting gear,” said Troy Waters of Offshore Grip Marine.
