TV fishing show premieres tonight

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Chevy Florida Fishing Report, a weekly one-hour television series, produced live each Thursday featuring area experts reporting from different coastal regions, will premier tonight on the Sunshine Network, according to a network press release today.

The show will offer news and information each week, with specifics on where and what fish are biting, upcoming weather conditions impacting fishing in Florida, product updates and more, the Sunshine Network said.

The network is working with World Publications, publishers of specialty magazines including Sport Fishing, Marlin and Fly Fishing in Salt Waters, who will offer their expertise and resources to the show, the company reported.

“This new program will allow us to continue our mission of providing Florida fans with information specific to them that they can find nowhere else,” said Cathy Weeden, vice president/general manager of Sunshine Network. “The Chevy Florida Fishing Report will provide weekend anglers with the up-to-date information they need to have a productive trip.”

The show airs live Thursdays at 7 p.m. through September. However, tonight’s premiere will air at 6 p.m. in Northern & Central Florida only, due to the late addition of a Tampa Bay Lightning playoff game. Viewers in South Florida will see the premiere at its regularly scheduled time of 7 p.m., with a statewide replay at 10 p.m.
