Bay Marine signs agreement with Yacht Harbor Inc.
STURGEON BAY – Bay Marine of Sturgeon Bay Inc. has signed an agreement to purchase some of the assets of Sturgeon Bay Yacht Harbor Inc., the Capital Times reported in an article yesterday.
The agreement will be part of an expansion plan including a proposal for a new marina development located at the old Peterson Builders Inc. shipbuilding property, Matt Felhofer, one of Bay Marine’s principal owners told the Times.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity,” Felhofer told the newspaper. “We have always had the vision that Sturgeon Bay can become a world-class vacation and boating destination for yacht owners, and this is our first step to help the community achieve this goal.”
Sturgeon Bay Yacht Harbor is located on about 17 acres in Sturgeon Bay. The marina’s features include: bath facilities, a fuel dock and pumpout station, repair facilities, boat hoists for hauling and launching vessels up to 50 tons, and heated and unheated indoor storage, according to the Times.
