Sunstream sees 30 percent sales growth

KENT, Wash. – Sunstream Boat Lifts has achieved its fifth consecutive year of 30 percent year-over-year boat lift sales growth through its dealer channel to $15 million, the company reported in a release yesterday.

Sunstream’s first quarter 2008 year-over-year sales are up 40 percent. The company attributes the sustained growth to a combination of new market expansion and trends such as hydraulic lifts replacing cable lifts, and smaller boat owners looking to make the most of their experience with their current boats. Based on year-to-date sales, the company said it expects this trend to continue in 2008.

Employing a virtual production model, Sunstream said it has “a nearly limitless ability” to scale manufacturing to meet the hyper-growth demands of the market while ensuring consistent product quality.

“Amid a tough year for new boat sales, Sunstream dealers are seeing a strong increase in boat lift sales,” said Ken Hey, president, Sunstream Boat Lifts. “Boaters are willing to pay more for the clear advantages offered by our lifts, allowing dealers to discount less and recognize greater profits.”
