Industry prepares for fiscal reports

CLEARWATER, Fla. – MarineMax, Inc. has scheduled a conference call to review its fiscal third quarter 2004, for July 22, at 10 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, the company said in a press release last week.

The call – which will be broadcast live over the Internet – can be accessed via the Investor Relations section of the marine retailer’s Web site, http://www.marinemax.com. An online archive of the broadcast will be available within one hour of the conclusion of the call and will be available for 30 days.

MarineMax will release fiscal third quarter 2004 financial results prior to the market open on July 22, the company said.

Several other companies in the industry will also be releasing their financial results over the next couple of weeks. Here are a few of the dates and times.

– Brunswick Corp. will hold its earnings conference call July 29 at 11 a.m. (EST). The call also will be broadcast over the Internet and can be accessed at http://www.brunswick.com. To listen, go to the site at least 15 minutes before the call to register, download and install any needed audio software.

Security analysts and investors wishing to participate via telephone should call (888) 283-3870 and ask to be connected to the Brunswick call. Callers outside North America should call (773) 756-4631 to be connected, Brunswick said. A replay of the call will be available through 11 p.m. (EST) Aug. 5, by calling (800) 945-6441. The replay will also be available at http://www.brunswick.com .

– Johnson Outdoors Inc. will release its financial results for the third quarter on July 29, before the Nasdaq trading day begins. The company will then host a conference call and audio Webcast at 9 a.m. (EST) to discuss the financial results and provide a company update.

The Webcast may be accessed in listen-only mode at Johnson Outdoors’ home page at http://www.johnsonoutdoors.com. A replay will be available at the site, or by dialing 877-519-4471 or 973-341-3080 and providing confirmation code 4969448. The replay will be available through Aug. 5 by phone and for 30 days on the Internet, the company said.

– West Marine, Inc. will hold a conference call and Webcast on July 22 at 11:30 a.m. (EST) to discuss its second quarter 2004 results. The live call will be available in real time on the Internet at www.westmarine.com, in the “Investor Relations” section. The Earnings Release will also be posted in the “Press Release” section, the company said.

Interested parties can connect to the conference call by dialing 800-288-8976 in the U.S. and 612-288-0329 for international calls. An audio replay of the call will be available through July 29 at 8:59 p.m. (EST). The replay number is 800-475-6701 in the U.S. and 320-365-3844 for international calls. The access code is 737765.

– Caterpillar Inc. will release its 2004 second-quarter financial results at about 6:30 a.m. EST on July 22. A real-time, listen-only Webcast of the quarterly conference call Caterpillar conducts with security analysts and institutional investors will then be available at 9 a.m. EST. The call can be accessed through http://www.CAT.com/IRwebcast.

A replay will be available through the site shortly after the live event. Those without access to the Internet may request a fax of Caterpillar’s prepared comments, which excludes the Q&A session, shortly after the live event by calling 800-228-7717 (for U.S. and Canada) or 858-244-2080 (for all other regions), the company said.
