Teleflex expects 14-percent increase in 2Q revenues

LIMERICK, Pa. – With its marine product lines delivering a strong performance, Teleflex Inc. expects its earnings per share for the second quarter, ended June 27, to fall in the range of 83 to 85 cents per share, it reported in a statement today.

The company – which manufactures marine steering, control and electronics components along with other products – now anticipates earnings will be in the range of $2.90 to $3.00 for the full year, which is lower than its previous guidance of $3.10 to $3.20, it reported.

Teleflex said total revenues would grow to an estimated $660 million, a 14-percent increase compared to second quarter of the prior year.

The company will release its second quarter 2004 earnings results in a press release July 14 after market close, and will hold a conference call to discuss the quarter’s results July 15.
