Reichhold revises price increase

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Reichhold announced today that it is revising the price increase announcement it issue last Monday upward to $0.04 per pound for all unsaturated polyester resins sold in North America.

Reichhold had made the announcement that it would be increasing prices last week, prior to knowing what the new cost of raw materials would be.

“Monday’s announcement was based on the best available raw material costs we had at the time,” said Ken Moran, Reichhold director of sales, North America & Mexico. “Since that increase was announced, new information relating to expected raw material price increases has come to light.

“In an effort to avoid a separate price increase in a few weeks’ time, we are simply revising Monday’s announcement. As always, we encourage customers to speak directly with their local Reichhold representatives who can answer questions related to this pricing adjustment.”

The prices will be effective on or after February 9, 2004, as originally announced.
