Watershed Innovation supports future Orlando boat builders

Watershed Innovation, Correct Craft’s technology company, recently supported the Orlando community by sponsoring the Maker Faire event at Central Florida Fairgrounds and Expo Hall.

The Watershed team created an opportunity for kids and adults to put their imagination to work by making their own small electric boats.

Each person had the chance to design their hull, pick their propeller design, and race for prizes.

Recognized for creativity, the Watershed exhibit received the Maker of Merit award by Maker Faire.

“The Watershed team had a great time helping kids unleash their creativity. The turnout for the event was incredible, and we are grateful for this opportunity to make life better in our own back yard,” said Watershed President Sean Marrero. “Creating places for the next generation to think outside the box is important to creating a better future for our communities, and the world around us.”

Watershed Innovation is focused on identifying, researching, developing and integrating exponential technologies to benefit Correct Craft, its subsidiaries and the marine industry.

Maker Faire is a non-profit and community organized event that gathers people together who enjoy learning and sharing the passions of making. People of all ages from kids to students to hobbyists to engineers were represented at Maker Faire.

Maker Faire Orlando began in 2012 as a family friendly showcase of DIY science, art, technology, and hands-on activities.

Independent crafters to scientists can share what they are making and learning. Now in its seventh year, the event is part of the original Maker Faire held in San Mateo, Calif. and now also in New York, Miami, Detroit, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, and other cities around the world.
