At the Helm: Your critical edge

If you’ve never been to the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo, this is the year to do it. Simply put, if you care about the success of your business, you need to be there.

What makes it so important that you join us for MDCE 2013, Nov. 17-20 in Orlando? Every year, we offer great, standout education to improve your business. This year, though, we’ve more than doubled our education budget to bring in more of the standout speakers past attendees told us they wanted.

Our theme for this year’s MDCE is “Amplify Your Advantage.” And that’s what this year’s conference is all about: helping you gain an edge and increase your advantage over the competition. The industry is coming back, but there’s still plenty of dealers, marinas, boat builders, etc., competing for a piece of the proverbial pie.

If you take a look at the preconference guide included in this issue, I think you’ll be wowed by what MRAA and Boating Industry are bringing you this year.

It’s an all-star team of speakers. We’ve brought back the highest-rated speakers from the past including Sam Dantzler (who received the best ratings of any speaker in MDCE history last year), Valerie Ziebron, Josh Chiles, Don Cooper and more. These return speakers are all bringing new presentations to MDCE.

For MDCE 2013, we’ve also brought back two of our most popular panel discussions: the Best Ideas program, where a panel of dealers share their best ideas for success, culled from submissions from across North America, and the Industry Leaders panel, where leading manufacturers and service providers from across the industry answer your questions.

We also have a whole new group of experts from within the marine industry and outside of it, starting with the keynote speaker, Jeffrey Gitomer. Gitomer is a world-renowned sales and leadership expert. He’s sold millions of his books and consulted with and spoken to hundreds of companies around the world, including Coca-Cola, Caterpillar, BMW, AT&T Wireless, IBM and more.

And you’ll be able to hear from social media expert Kathi Kruse, leadership guru John Spence, branding consultant David Arvin, customer enthusiasm king Steve Cohn and a wealth of others.

Finally, this year’s conference features the all-new series of workshops, in-depth, interactive opportunities to learn from some of the best experts in the field.
