Gougeon Brothers names new president
BAY CITY, Mich. — Alan R. Gurski has been appointed company president of Gougeon Brothers Inc. by the board of directors, according to a release from the company.
Gurski has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and worked for 10 years as a commercial construction project manager before joining Gougeon’s marketing department in 2007, the company said. Gurski was promoted to executive vice president following the retirement of Grant Urband in 2008.
Gurski replaces retiring president Robert H. Monroe, who joined the company in 1976 and has served as president since 1997.
Gurski has already appointed an executive staff, which includes Vice President of Sales and Distribution Gerald Briggs, CFO Joanne Gradowski, Marketing Director Grace Ombry, Operations Manager Glenn Sinicki and Technical Director Jeff Wright.
Michigan-based Gougeon Brothers manufactures West System and Pro-Set brand epoxies and celebrated its 40th anniversary this year.
“I have confidence in Alan’s capabilities,” company founder Meade Gougeon said in the release. “With this change, we’re looking forward to our next 40 years. We’re poised for bigger and better things for our company, our customers, our suppliers and our community.”
