NMRA awards scholarship to marine technology student

GURNEE, Ill. – The National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) recently presented Frederick Richardson of Somersworth, N.H., a $1,500 scholarship, the association said in a statement. Richardson is a student at Westlawn Institute of Marine Technologies, and he plans to earn a degree in small craft design.

Richardson, a veteran of the Navy, said his career goals include designing and building safe, dependable craft for private, public and military use, according to the NMRA.

The NMRA awards scholarships because of a commitment “to fostering growth in the marine industry,” the association said.
